Ubiqam was founded in 2007 with a mission to reshape the economies of broadband mobility network deployments through the development of In-Band Backhaul technology for Picocells and Femtocells.

Our solution presents an innovative approach to wireless networks capacity, throughput and coverage enhancement. Using our solution, wireless operators can maximize exploitation of the capacity provided by their already licensed spectrum and deployed macro infrastructure.

Ubiqam's in-band backhaul solution can be used with or integrated into a standard Pico or Femto base-station. The solution enables the small-scale base-stations to connect to the network through a Macro base-station using the same standard radio-technology and frequency band used for serving the subscribers. Exempting the operator from connecting its small scale base-stations to a dedicated wireline or microwave backhaul links reduces significantly the operators' CAPEX and OPEX, reduces the wireless operator's dependency on competitive wireline operators and simplifies site requirements such that base-stations can be installed ubiquitously on street poles, building walls and other urban locations.

A unique advantage of Ubiqam's technology is its complete backwards compatibility to existing wireless network infrastructure and applicability to all next generation broadband wireless technologies including HSPA/HSPA+, WiMAX and LTE.
